Decatur City Schools is the latest district to report COVID-19 cases.

Fayetteville High School is the latest Tennessee Valley school to report a case of COVID-19.
On August 25, the district announced a confirmed a case of COVID-19 at Fayetteville High School. The district says that contact tracing has been completed, and anyone who was in close contact with the affected student has been notified. If you were notified, your child will need to quarantine for 14 days.
Families are also reminded that while quarantining, your child may not attend school in person or attend any school activities; however, the student should continue working digitally in order to be counted present.
Other schools with recent cases of COVID-19:
Limestone County:
Elkmont High School (Limestone County Schools) was closed for a week after multiple cases were found among the high school's football player.
One staff member at Piney Chapel Elementary School, and one staff member at Sugar Creek Elementary School tested positive.
Huntsville City Schools:
Huntsville City Schools has a list of facilities that have been affected by COVID-19, although who and how many per school is not listed.
Madison County Schools:
Three staff members tested positive between August 19 and August 25.
Decatur City Schools:
Nine students and five staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 as of August 26. Additionally, 204 students and 24 staff members are quarantined.
