North Alabama drive-thru COVID-19 testing hosted by Thrive Alabama, Huntsville Hospital

According to Huntsville Hospital, it takes approximately one week to get test results returned and you will be notified by phone about your results.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Thrive Alabama has teamed up with Huntsville Hospital to provide two free, drive-thru COVID-19 testing events.

The first event took place on Tuesday, August 25 and the second event will be held on Thursday, August 27.

The drive-thru testing on August 27 will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until capacity is reached at the Meridianville Church of Christ.

According to Thrive Alabama, a physician order is not required, but patients should bring a photo ID and health insurance card if they have one. There will be no copay for those with insurance and there will be no fee for those without insurance.

Huntsville Hospital said approximately 300 tests will be administered each day.

This testing event is intended for asymptomatic individuals who have had recent exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. IF you are exhibiting symptoms, the organizations ask that you go to the Huntsville HOspital Fever & Flu Clinic located at 120 Governors Drive for testing. The Fever & Flu Clinic is open Monday through Friday starting at 9 a.m.
