ATHENS, Ala. — Athens City Schools voted unanimously on Oct. 22 to approve a separation agreement with former Superintendent Trey Holladay.

This vote comes after the FBI searched Holladay's house back in June. Holladay has been on leave since then.
The FBI said they were investigating, but would not specify for what.
Holladay's last day with the district will be Oct. 31 and he will be paid $250,000 as part of the agreement.
Beth Patton will serve as the interim superintendent in the meantime.
