HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Opening up a small business is hard to do any year. Starting one during a global pandemic takes guts.
Huntsville City Council member Devyn Keith took the chances to add a little flavor to the city he serves. He decided to open a local coffee shop, called "Dark Side Coffee, which officially opened in November 2020.
Keith says they are taking precautions to keep the employees and customers safe and satisfied. He explained, "We've been very COVID responsible and conscious. But I can tell you, a lot of people wanna have a chance where they can feel comfortable, COVID response as well, but they wanna have a place they can come get a good cup of coffee, have a distant conversation and or take it back to the house or take a road trip somewhere to work or to wherever they are going. So it's been a blessing, to be honest with you."
Dark Side Coffee is located at 2007 Memorial Parkway NW in Huntsville. It's open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
