HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville police are investigating an assault and possible robbery that occurred early Wednesday morning. The incident took place in the 4200 block of Boxwood Drive.
Officers responded to the scene around 12:10 a.m. after receiving a report of a robbery in progress. According to the Huntsville Police Department, two people were inside the apartment when several men entered, demanded money, and assaulted the victims.
One of the victims was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. Police say the victim is in stable condition and expected to survive. The second victim did not appear to be injured.
The suspects fled before officers arrived, and no arrests have been made.
Authorities are still working to identify the suspects, and the investigation remains ongoing.
