MORGAN COUNTY, Alabama — The number of coronavirus cases increased by more than 10% this past week in Morgan County. According to local health officials, that's a decrease from what we've seen over the past weeks.
Decatur Mayor Tab Bowling said the total number of positive cases are going down and he hopes everyone keeps doing their part to make the community as safe as possible.
"You can look at the tracker and see the cases per day and they're starting to flatten. But that means we need to have personal responsibility. Which means we need to continue to social distance, wear a face mask, wash our hands and disinfect," said Mayor Bowling.
Though the number of positive cases are going down, local health leaders say they're still facing the issue of people gathering in large groups.
