HUNTSVILLE, Ala — Leaders in Madison County came out to Rhythm on Monroe on Tuesday to kick off Restaurant Week in Huntsville.
Starting Friday, August 14 through Sunday, August 23, restaurants throughout Madison County will offer unique items to show off their menus. The goal of the event is to get both visitors and locals out to try different restaurants in the city.
Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle says it's more important now than ever to support these local businesses that have taken a hit during the pandemic.
"You can come in and dine or you can pick up and take home or you can do curb side service. As you do that, you are making a stronger economy for our area. You're making jobs for people who are working in the hospitality industry. You're helping these restaurants to survive," said Mayor Battle.
If you eat at any of the participating businesses during Restaurant Week, be sure to take a picture while you're there. Tweet or post to Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #DineHsv for a chance to win prizes every day of Restaurant Week.
