Starting Monday, July 20th, Walmart is requiring all shoppers to wear a face covering in their stores, including Sam's Club locations.
Signs will be posted near the entrance of stores to remind everyone of the new requirement. To help enforce the new rule, stores will have a single entrance.
Walmart says their ambassadors are getting special training to work with customers who show up without a face covering.
People in Huntsville have different opinions on the new requirement.
Walmart shopper, Susie Durham, is for mandatory masks. She said, "Not only will it make me feel safer, but it will make me feel better to know that I've done my part to potentially keep someone else from getting this virus."
Walmart shopper, Tony, does not think Walmart should require masks. He says he will follow the law and store rules even though he doesn't agree with it.
"The only thing that's going to stop it is sanitation, common sense. If you sneeze, wash your hands. If you go out to eat, be smart about it," said Tony.
Sam's Club members will be given a mask if they don't have one.
