Touchstar Cinemas is bringing a brand new movie theater to MidCity District.
The new Touchstar Luxury Cinemas MidCity theater will replace the current one that used to stand by the former Madison Square Mall. Once it opens, it will have the largest screen in Alabama.
The new 50,000 square foot movie theater will have 14 wall-to-wall screens, 4k laser projection with 3D viewing, as well as Dolby Atmos and DTX immersive sound. People will also have the option to enjoy a bar in the VIP suites.
It will sit near the hotels and entertainment core on MidCity Drive.
They plan to open the theater up by summer of 2021 and close the old one shortly after.
