A new splash pad is now open in North Huntsville just in time for the dog days of summer.
The bulldog themed splash park features 3 splash pads, 12 picnic tables and 26 fixtures and spray patterns.
It’s all part of a $1.2 million dollar renovation to the Showers Center.
“This splash pad adds volumes to the Showers Center, and we are just delighted of all the support,” said Richard Showers, Sr., who is a councilman for District 1.
The Showers Center is one of the most active recreation centers operated by Huntsville’s Parks & Recreation Department.
