TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe added another feather to his cap by winning the 2024 William V. Campbell Trophy on Tuesday at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino.
This accolade recognizes college football's top scholar-athlete, showcasing Milroe's impressive blend of academic excellence, athletic performance, and leadership.
Milroe, one of 16 finalists for the award, will receive a $25,000 postgraduate scholarship from the National Football Foundation along with the coveted trophy.
He joins the ranks of only one other player in Alabama history to win the Campbell Trophy: Barrett Jones, who was honored in 2012.
As a redshirt junior, Milroe has been a standout leader, serving as a two-time team captain. Milore has guided the Crimson Tide to two College Football Playoff appearances and two Southeastern Conference championships. His remarkable statistics include 77 total touchdowns, 5,824 passing yards, 44 touchdowns through the air, and 1,570 rushing yards with 33 rushing touchdowns.
Academically, Milroe graduated cum laude in December 2023 with a 3.52 GPA and is set to complete his master’s degree in sport management this month. He has been recognized on the President's List and Dean's List multiple times and was selected to the SEC Academic Honor Roll three times.
Additionally, Milroe earned a spot on the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
