BBB of North Alabama hosts 'Shred Day' in Decatur

This event gives people the opportunity to dispose of various household items properly, and important documents securely.

North Alabama BBB hosts Decatur Shred Day on Saturday, May 1, 2021

DECATUR, Ala. — North Alabama's Better Business Bureau is hosting another shred day here in the Valley.

This time the BBB wants to give people in Morgan County a way to securely dispose of important documents.

The Decatur Shred Day is on Saturday, May 1, 2021, from 9 am to 12 pm at Epic Church in Decatur located at 607 14th Street SE, Decatur, AL 35601.

This event allows people to dispose of documents, electronics, prescription drugs and more properly

This event not only protects people's privacy but the environment, too; because items brought will be recycled. 

If you plan on bringing documents to shred, you can also drop off unwanted or expired prescription drugs (no needles) to be disposed of properly as well.

"They'll be doing electronics, paper, as well as prescription drug take-back on their end and of course they'll be accepting clothing donations to benefit disabled citizens, as well as those senior citizens in that area, as well as the Make-A-Wish Foundation," said Lindsay George, communications and marketing coordinator, with the Better Business Bureau of North Alabama.
