Have you tried CBD? January is National CBD Month

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — January is National CBD Month and locally owned CBD dispensaries in Huntsville are exciting to celebrate.

CBD is a chemical found in marijuana, but it is not to be confused Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). THC is the chemical that makes someone feel high. CBD does not have the same properties.

The Green Lady is a CBD dispensary in northeast Huntsville that is owned by mother-son duo, Linda Jones and Jason Pauls.

"CBD is a cannabinoid that's found in the hemp plant," Jason Pauls said. "It is one of 113 others that's found in the plant, that has a lot of beneficial use. A lot of people say it helps with anxiety, inflammation, helps them rest better, several different things."

Pauls explains that the purpose of CBD is wellness and health. 

"Its not always about getting high. its not. CBD has no psychoactive affects, there's Delta-8, THC, it has a psychoactive affect but CBD doesn't."
