HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Justin Weissert, a Raytheon employee and veteran himself, says it's so important to give back to those who have served our country, especially now.
"There's so many veterans out there who were maybe discharged from the army through no fault of their own, injured in combat, what have you, and they wonder, how are they going to provide gifts this year for their children, how are they going to pay the utility bills, how are they just going to get through the holidays and survive, let alone provide a Christmas for their families," said Justin Weissert, Systems Logistics Engineer, Raytheon Technologies.
The company raised $10,000 in total. $4,000 of the money went to gifts, $3,000 of the money went to 300 Walmart gift cards and the other $3,000 was set aside to pay for the families utility bills.
