LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. — One person is hospitalized following a shooting that happened during an incident investigators believe to be domestic violence.
Limestone County deputies responded to a home near Cannon Road and Daveen Drive about 5 a.m. on Sunday to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
Deputies used life-saving measures, including the application of a tourniquet, to stabilize the victim before he was taken to a hospital for additional care.
Investigators determined that the shooting stemmed from a domestic violence situation. The unidentified suspect was apprehended without incident.
