HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — A multi-agency operation in Huntsville that concluded on March 18 resulted in 30 arrests and the seizure of $10,000 in cash, two pounds of marijuana and five weapons, according to Huntsville police.
Police said "Operation Lucky" included the following state and federal agencies:
- Huntsville Police Department
- Madison County Sheriff's Office
- Madison County District Attorney's Office
- Alabama State Probation and Parole
- FBI
- ATF
- U.S. Secret Service
- US. Probation and Parole
According to HPD, the FBI North Alabama Safe Streets Task Force and FBI North Alabama Violent Crime Task Force played crucial parts in the operation.
One of the recovered weapons had previously been reported stolen, HPD said.
“Successful operations like this one would not be possible without the help of our community,” said Chief Mark McMurray. “If you’re concerned about criminal activity in your neighborhood contact authorities.”
