Huntsville police identify man killed in Talwell Drive shooting

Police located one dead person after arriving to the scene.

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — The Huntsville Police Department has identified the man killed in a shooting that took place on Talwell Drive on Sunday, January 31.

Police identified the deceased as 26-year-old Laquintin Labris Fletcher.

Police are conducting a death investigation into the shooting.

Police said the call came in around 2 p.m. from the 3900 block of Talwell Drive. Upon arrival, police said they found one person dead in an apartment.

Huntsville police have detained one person as an investigation is ongoing.
