HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Mrs. Jordan Oakley is a collaborative special education teacher at Mountain Gap Elementary in Huntsville.
"A collaborative teacher works with the classroom teachers to support students with special needs. Sometimes that involves pushing into the classroom for support and other times it is pulling a child to provide additional levels of support," Principal Amber Hall explained.
Mrs. Oakley is a Muscle Shoals native, and she's been teaching at Mountain Gap for around seven years.
Mrs. Oakley says, "It's all about the students for me. Building relationships with the kids and watching them grow."
The relationships that she makes with students last a lifetime. Mrs. Oakley loves giving back to her community by educating the next generation. In her classroom, she teaches her students about love, kindness, and respect.
The Tennessee Valley is lucky to have such dedicated educators on our side. Congratulations again to Mrs. Jordan Oakley of Mountain Gap Elementary.
