TONEY, Ala. — Congratulations to Angela Walker of Madison Cross Roads elementary for being chosen as the Valley's Top Teacher.
Frederick Mims, a fourth grade student said, "Mrs. Walker, she's one of the best teachers I've been with. I've been at this school since first grade and so far she's one of the best teachers."
Frederick isn't the only fourth grader that feels this way about Mrs. Walker.
Lily Beard, another fourth grade student said, "She is a very amazing teacher. this is actually one of her... Last year she was in second grade and now this year she moved into the 4th. Very nice teacher. Will help you a lot with whatever you need help with."
Mrs. Walker is patient - she takes the time to properly teach her students - and creates a class environment that they love.
"It makes me feel good to make a difference with children, I've been here a long time with this school and I think it's important too for the future to get them ready to go to the next level and get them ready for the next level and to keep on being successful."
Mrs. Walker started her journey at Madison Cross Roads over thirty years ago - and she wouldn't change a thing.
Her fourth graders will always remember the hard work that she puts in to be great at her job.
Frederick also added, "She's.... There's so many things I could say. When you ask for help she doesn't like to get mad she doesn't like to stutter. She just.. She drops whatever she is doing and she comes to help you. If there is something wrong with your computer or anything she tries to assist what's going on she'll help you.
