Albertville:

Even though Albertville no longer qualifies for free meals for all students as a community, families are able to apply for individual consideration for free or reduced meal prices. This application will be made available to the public on July 1, 2022.

Each Albertville family will be asked to review the information and complete the application by August 1st to determine meal cost for their children for the upcoming school year. Families will only need to submit one application per household. -more- ACS School Meal Price Changes coming p.2 As is always the case in Albertville City Schools, every effort will be made to ensure our families with financial need are given assistance they need.

Stay tuned to www.albertk12.org for the application link on July 1st and for more information and continued guidance as it becomes available. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these changes together.

Florence City Schools

Florence City Schools will begin its Summer Feeding Program, offering packaged meals for families in different communities.

The Child Nutrition Program team can once again be found on the Falcon Feeder food truck that the district unveiled in 2021. In 2020 when COVID-19 forced schools to close, Florence City Schools launched the Feeding the Falcons Initiative, which allowed families to pick up meals from locations around the city.

The Falcon Feeder continued that mission in 2021 by bringing the meals to the families instead. This year’s schedule is scaled back from last year’s, but the mission remains the same, to see that no child goes hungry during summer.

The Falcon Feeder will distribute meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 7 through June 30. Listed below are the locations and times.
