Redstone Arsenal Gate 9 inbound will close from 2pm Friday, June 30th until 5am Wednesday, July 5th to allow movement of equipment and structures to the new gate location, 3/4 of a mile south on Rideout Road.

The outbound portion of the gate will close from 6am on Saturday, July 1st until 6am Sunday, July 2nd.

The Redstone Gateway can still be accessed. Goss Road will remain open except from 6am on Saturday, July 1st until 6am Sunday, July 2nd.

Gate 8 will be the 24 x 7 access point during this time.

On Wednesday, July 5th at 5am, Gate 9 will be fully open.

On Monday, July 3rd, all inbound gates except Gate 9 will be operating for normal duty hours.

On Tuesday, July 4, (Independence Day), Gate 8 will remain the 24 hour gate throughout the day.

These changes do not affect visitors. The Gate 9 Visitor Control Center will remain open for normal operating hours.

Visitors should proceed slowly through the old gate location and approach the new gate prepared to present credentials and be cleared for access to the Arsenal.

“Gate 9 is Redstone Arsenal’s busiest gate and nearly 50% of daily traffic
enters at this point,” said COL Tom Holliday. “This new gate helps us to be
a little safer and more secure. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we
continue to improve conditions.”
