ATHENS, Alabama — Athens-Limestone Hospital health care workers have been on the frontline of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic.
If you want to show your gratitude for their bravery and hard work, the hospital is asking that you leave a message telling them why you are thankful for health care employees.
"Our employees are stretched thin, with many working for days without a break, and we think Valentine’s Day is a great time to send them a big 'thank you,'” the hospital said in a Facebook post.
Valentine's Day cards, candy or goodies can be sent to hospital employees by mailing them to Felicia Lambert at 700 W. Market Street in Athens, Alabama, 35611.
The hospital emphasized that it isn't just the doctors and nurses that need encouragement, but also the respiratory therapists, housekeepers, pharmacists and all other health care workers.
