MADISON COUNTY, ALABAMA, Ala. — Hazel Green High School is temporarily transitioning to remote learning, Madison County Schools Superintendent Allen Perkins announced on Thursday.
The high school will remain in remote learning until December 21 when students will begin their winter break. The district said devices will be issued to students who need them.
Classes will be held through Google Classroom and SchoolsPLP, according to the district. Additionally, teachers will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the week to help students with work via email and Google Meetings.
Meals will be provided for students each day from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
The district said the decision to transition to 100% remote learning came after assessing a number of variables in the school.
