Huntsville artists to pay tribute to healthcare workers with LED lights

This Friday, local artists will do an LED pop-up in Downtown Huntsville to acknowledge our healthcare workers amid COVID-19.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Some Huntsville artists have decided to shine a light on the dedication of our healthcare workers, literally.

LED Orange Productions is paying tribute to our healthcare workers using LED installations.

"With all of our healthcare workers taking such a beating in the front-lines, we wanted to do something fun that pays tribute to the people working so hard right here in our hometown," says LED Orange Owner, Nathan Adamek.

The group is no stranger to the Tennessee Valley. They've had installations at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, and the Huntsville Museum of Art to name a few.

"We have a long history of doing pop-ups and art installations right here in the city, so we were excited about the opportunity to do something that has a little more meaning," says Adamek.

Adamek says the pop-up will be in an area of Downtown Huntsville with high visibility. We're not disclosing where, so be on the lookout.

"Our goal is to do some fun and inspirational images, that are kind of in the theme of 'We're in this together' or in the theme of 'Wash your hands'. We want it to be funny, and light-hearted and also inspirational," says Adamek.

Adamek and his team are using their craft that's meant for entertainment, now also for education.

"We love to provide entertainment, and inspire the next generation to dream big. So if there's a way to tie that in to what's happening in the real world generation, then that's just great for us," says Adamek.

The art installation will be up Friday night from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
