HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — In a letter to employees late Friday night, Marshall Space Flight Center mandated telework for employees until further notice.
This was after the confirmation that one of their employees tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). They are working to identify and notify people who may have had signficant contact with the employee.
Access to MSFC is restricted to mission-essential personnel only.
MSFC has protocols for situations like this as part of NASA's agency reponse plan. It was previous put into action at NASA's Ames Research Facility in Silicon Valley after an employee tested positive for coronoavirus (COVID-19).
The center is in regular contact with employees about this rapidly-changing situation.
