From February 24 to 25, over 6,000 enthusiastic gaming, comic book, sci-fi, horror, anime and cosplay fans from Huntsville and abroad will converge at the Von Braun Center, North Hall, 700 Monroe St SW, Huntsville, AL for the 3rd annual Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo: Alabama’s largest celebration of all things geek!

This family-friendly pop culture expo has become one of Huntsville’s most talked-about events, where visitors rub shoulders with an ever-growing roster of celebrity guests from various entertainment fields.

The biggest buzz this year is over the appearance of Kevin Sarbo, an international TV star best known for his lead role of Hercules in the immensely popular series, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.

Other highly anticipated guests include:
– Fabian Nicieza, the co-creator of Deadpool ‘The Merc With A Mouth’
– Mark Bagley, who has worked on virtually every Marvel title and best known for his work on The Amazing Spider-Man (including his and Brian Bendis’ record setting run on Ultimate Spider-Man) and The Death Of Ultimate Spider-Man. Bagley also worked on DC’s Batman, Trinity, and Justice League. His most recent projects include stints on The Fantastic Four, The Hulk, The X-Men and he is currently working on a Venom miniseries
– Joe Rubinstein, celebrated for his extensive catalog of work at Marvel and best known for Marvel Comics’ The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe and the 1982 four-issue Wolverine miniseries by Chris Claremont and Frank Miller. Rubinstein also holds a Guinness World Record of Inking more pencilers than any other inker
– Mike Zeck and John Beatty, two artists instrumental in making the Punisher the icon character that he is today
– Two – that’s TWO – actors from The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Red Ranger Austin St. John and Black Ranger (later the Green Turbo Ranger) Johnny Yong Bosch
– Jermaine “Funnymaine” Johnsonbest known for his YouTube series, How Bama Fans Watched The Game, will also be performing live comedy shows!

The Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo 2018 will present a ton of entertainment activities for the whole family over the course of two days, as well as 100+ vendor booths with retailers and artists specializing in comic books, original art, graphic novels, toys, posters, video games, costumes, jewelry, props & so much more!  

The expo’s calendar is packed with panels, workshops, even more video game tournaments, film screenings & short film competition, cosplay contest, celebrity autograph sessions & photo ops and kids’ area.

NEW THIS YEAR: a viewing room, 2nd panel room, even more video game tournaments, short film competition, stand-up comedy show and the Rocket City Mayhem Smash Tourney with over $1,000 in pot bonuses!

The Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo 2018 has partnered with local non-profit Kids to Love, an organization which supports the needs of and finds forever families for foster children. A portion of ticket sales as well as 100% of the proceeds from the Kids to Love Live Auction during the con will be donated to Kids to Love.
