Huntsville Fire and Rescue is looking to hire qualified self-motivated men and women for its 2021 Academy.
Applications for Fire & Rescue only open about every 18-months, so they encourage those interested to apply.
“When I look for the ideal Fire & Rescue team member, I look for attitude and aptitude – in that order,” said Huntsville Fire & Rescue Chief Mac McFarlen. “If you have a great attitude and the ability to learn we can teach you the ropes using the most advanced technology and equipment available in public safety.”

Fire & Rescue work entails fire suppression, fire prevention, emergency lifesaving and rescue services to the citizens of Huntsville. They say the duties require strenuous physical exertion under emergency conditions such as extreme heat, confined spaces, contaminated environments and infectious disease.
Applications are open until June 15th at 6 p.m.
