One man is in custody and an man and woman are wanted after a February 8 armed robbery that left the male victim naked and searching for help.

Lachriston Mayberry, 25, faces charges of robbery 1st degree, theft 1st degree, receiving stolen property 1st degree, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and obstructing justice/using a false identity. He is held in the Limestone County Jail on $42,500 bond.

Nicholas Ferguson and Alexia Devaney are wanted by investigators on warrants related to the case. Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call 256-232-0111 for Investigator Durden. No photo of Devaney is available at this time.

According to the sheriff’s office, the robbery happened on February 8 on Towe Road, where the male victim had given a woman a ride to get belongings from a home belonging to Nicholas Ferguson. When they arrived, they were met by Ferguson and Mayberry, who removed the male victim at gunpoint while wielding a pink sawed-off shotgun. The victim was ordered to remove his clothes and was robbed the clothes, cash, and his vehicle.

Investigators also said the suspects threatened to sodomize the victim with a baseball bat, but when Mayberry was distracted while looking for the bat, the victim fled on foot. The suspects fired at the victim while he was running but missed. He got help from a neighbor who called the sheriff’s office.

Investigators obtained warrants for Mayberry and Ferguson after determining their identities. The next day, Mayberry went to a residence on County Line Road in a second stolen vehicle and attempted to gain entry, but the resident stopped him. Mayberry fired a shot into the residence and left. This vehicle was later located on Eastep Road in Southwestern Limestone County.

Investigators obtained additional warrants on Mayberry and Ferguson for the second incident, and they also obtained receiving stolen property 1st warrants for Alexia Devaney regarding the second stolen vehicle.

On Friday, an investigator noticed Mayberry near the Wal-Mart in Athens and called for the assistance of US Marshals and the SRT team due to the violent nature of his crimes. They were able to prevent a pursuit and any additional risk to bystanders, safely arresting Mayberry and the driver of the vehicle, who was in allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia. Investigators also recovered from the vehicle the pink shotgun that was allegedly used in both incidents.
