Mobile police officer Sean Tuder’s death came just one week after the death of Birmingham police sergeant, Wytasha Carter. Two Alabama officers being killed in the span of one week hits home for many officers in the Tennessee Valley.
Stephen Young with the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office says police always have to be prepared to deal with threats.
“You see it in serving warrants. You see it any time to have to confront somebody, you know, that poses a risk, but there are risks involved even when you’re not confronting somebody,” said Officer Young.
Officer Young says being attacked is something police always have on the back of their minds.
