The earthquake happened around 9:30 Saturday night in Morgan County south of Laceys Spring.

LACEYS SPRING, Ala. — If you heard or felt a loud noise Saturday night near Laceys Spring, it was an earthquake.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. in Morgan County south of Laceys Spring.

The USGS is reporting it was a magnitude 2.5 earthquake.

The last significant earthquake in North Alabama was in April 2003.
