HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Seven Huntsville City Schools teachers have completed the process to become National Board Certified Teachers, the district announced on Thursday.
According to the district, the certification is designed to develop, retain and recognize accomplished teachers and generate improvement in schools across the nation.
The following educators are Huntsville City School's latest National Board Certified Teachers:
- Molly Johnson at Farley Elementary
- Christie O'Connor at Weatherly Elementary School
- Lorinda Otto at Huntsville High School
- Lori Rhonemus at Goldsmith Schiffman Elementary School
- Kristin Robinson at Mountain Gap Middle School
- Ashleigh Yocom at Challenger Elementary School
With the addition of these seven, Huntsville City Schools now has more than 50 National Board Certified Teachers throughout the district with 40 more educators working towards the certification.
