HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Two big announcements from Alabama A&M.
The school announced that classes will begin on August 17th. They will use a hybrid model that includes both in-person and online classes. Face masks will be required by all students and other social distancing measures will be in effect as well.
They will also offer fully-remote classes if needed and students will be allowed to live on campus.
Alabama A&M is also renaming Bibb Graves Hall.
Bibb Graves was an Alabama governor who was a member of the KKK. The hall will be renamed after Walter S. Buchanan, Alabama A&M's second president.
The board of trustees approved the change on Friday. The facility currently houses the university's social work programs, distance education and other units.
