Albertville City Schools approves $500 one-time supplement for all staff

“Every faculty member has been asked to carry more than his or her fair share of weight in the past year," said Albertville City Schools Superintendent Boyd English.

ALBERTVILLE, Ala. — The Albertville City Schools Board of Education on Tuesday, July 20, approved a one-time $500 supplement for all staff in order to aid COVID-19 relief efforts.

The district said the $500 supplement will help provide necessary professional development to implement changes, including inviting students who are not reading at grade level to literacy camps during the 2021-22 school year.

“Every faculty member has been asked to carry more than his or her fair share of weight in the past year," said Albertville City Schools Superintendent Dr. Boyd English.

"The effects of COVID-19 are far-reaching and will continue to impact our school system as we work hard this year to ensure our students have not fallen behind. We are grateful for a hard-working team, and this supplement is a small token of that appreciation.”
