HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — UPDATE: Huntsville Police suspect the fire to be caused by arson. Please contact the Huntsville Police if you have any information regarding the suspected arsonist.
UPDATE: According to a Southeastern non-profit, Hatching Hope, more than 20 families were displaced due to the fire. In efforts to help the displaced families, the organization said they delivered 54 relief comfort kits.
The apartment complex also has a church taking donations as they try to sponsor each family affected by the fire.
UPDATE: Don Webster with HEMSI says there were two people transported to the hospital both with nonlife threating injuries around three this afternoon.
One person was taken to Huntsville Hospital while the other went to Crestwood Hospital.
UPDATE: Huntsville Fire Marshal Dan Wilkerson confirms there is at least one patient who was injured and transported to the hospital. Wilkerson confirms Fire & Rescue is currently working a fire at 6126 Rime Village.
There is a structural fire at the Reserve at Research Park on Rime Village property behind Target on University Drive.
