The Athens City Schools Board of Education has named Beth Patton as the first woman superintendent of the district and Willie Moore as the first Black executive principal at Athens High School.
The district made the announcement on Twitter Tuesday night.
"ACS officially names Beth Patton as Superintendent of Schools and Willie Moore as the Executive Principal at AHS. #oneathens"
