Athens Police Sending Toys for Hurricane Relief Effort

Athens started a toy drive to help children in Athens affected by the hurricane.

ATHENS, Ala. — The Athens Police Department (APD) is sending a load of toys to children impacted by Hurricane Helene. Officer Rogers is personally delivering the donations to North Carolina to help those in need.

The toy drive, supported by Athens City Schools, successfully collected new toys from community members. APD extends its thanks to everyone who contributed.

"We appreciate Athens City Schools for supporting us in this toy drive. Thank you to the community members who donated," said Athens Police.
