HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — The Avett Brothers and the Red Flags will perform at the 36th Annual Huntsville Classic, benefitting the Huntsville Hospital Foundation.

Organizers announced the lineup Friday morning.

Tickets will go on sale Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. for the May 10 show at the Orion Amphitheater. A presale passcode will be provided to those who sign up for the  Orion's newsletter at theorionhuntsville.com.

The Avett Brothers are an American folk rock group from North Carolina. Their music draws from bluegrass, country, rock and roll and other genres. The band has been nominated for three Grammy Awards and has received five Americana Music Honors and Awards.

The annual concert benefits the Huntsville Hospital Foundation, which raises funds for the not-for-profit Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children and Madison Hospital. The concert series launched in 1989 and moved to the Orion Amphitheater when that venue opened in 2022.

This year, the classic rock group Steve Miller Band headlined the Huntsville Classic. Proceeds from that concert were designated to equip a new pediatric critical care transport ambulance, renovate the Pediatric ICU at Huntsville Hospital and fund the Canines for Coping and Caring House programs.

Country music star Martina McBride performed at the Classic in 2023 and Jake Owen headlined in 2022.
