HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Get ready for an out-of-this-world experience at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center on Thursday, Oct. 10, as they celebrate Launch Across America Baking Soda Rocket Day!

In partnership with ARM & HAMMER™, the event highlights science, technology, arts, engineering, and math (STEAM) with various activities, special guests, and a group rocket launch.

Festivities begin at 9 a.m. and culminate in a nationwide rocket launch at noon. Over 800 local students will join schools across the country to launch baking soda-powered rockets.

Attendees can look forward to hands-on science experiments, a talk from veteran space shuttle commander Captain Robert “Hoot” Gibson, and live demonstrations by social media influencer Dee Martinez, ARM & HAMMER’S Chief STEAM Officer.

Guests are invited to bring their own homemade baking soda rockets to the ticket desk by 11 a.m. for a special gift (while supplies last). All activities are included with museum admission.
