HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville Parks & Recreation is bringing holiday cheer to Big Spring Park with the return of the Big Spring Jingle on Friday, Dec. 20. From 5 to 9 p.m., the park will transform into a winter wonderland filled with festive lights, live music, a dance floor, and plenty of prizes and giveaways.
Santa Claus will make a special appearance, taking a break from the North Pole to meet visitors and pose for photos. His arrival might even bring a few snow flurries to the park.
For those with special needs or sensory sensitivities, a quieter hour will be offered from 4 to 5 p.m., featuring lower sound levels, smaller crowds, and no wait to meet Santa.
"We are incredibly excited to bring back the Big Spring Jingle in collaboration with our great community partners," said James Gossett, Director of Huntsville Parks & Recreation. "This event is the perfect opportunity for everyone to come together and embrace the holiday spirit. With something for all ages, we’re looking forward to an unforgettable evening filled with joy, entertainment and cheer.”
The Big Spring Jingle is hosted in partnership with Downtown Huntsville, Inc. Visitors can also enjoy Skating in the Park, explore the Tinsel Trail, or grab food from nearby restaurants and food trucks along Church Street.
All activities, except Skating in the Park and food purchases, are free.
