HUNTSVILLE, Ala — Central North Alabama Health Services, Inc. will offer complimentary blood pressure readings at its Huntsville clinic- Huntsville Family Health Center.
In a press release, CNAHSI said:
Individuals can visit the clinic during their lunch break (12 PM to 2 PM) on May 3, 10, and 24 to have their blood pressure checked and receive valuable information on maintaining cardiovascular health.
Additionally, in honor of World Hypertension Day, on May 17th the clinic will offer blood pressure readings and give away blood pressure monitors from 12 PM to 4 PM.
Free blood pressure monitors will be given away to those with high blood pressure readings- while supplies last. This presents a unique opportunity for everyone in the community to take control of their cardiovascular health and receive vital information on monitoring blood pressure levels.
High blood pressure, also known as the "silent killer," typically exhibits no noticeable warning signs or symptoms until more serious issues arise.
Unfortunately, according to the Alabama Department of Public Health, over 42% of Alabamians reported having high blood pressure in 2021. Given that high blood pressure is a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke, regular blood pressure monitoring is essential for optimal heart health.
No appointment is necessary to get your blood pressure checked. Simply visit Huntsville Family Health Center located at 751 Pleasant Row NW Huntsville, AL 35816, during the designated days and times. You do not need to be a patient of the clinic to participate. For additional information, please visit www.cnahsi.com.
