HUNTSVILLE, Ala. —
“Cat Lounges”: they’re popping up in the biggest cities-- L.A, Chicago, even New York. But, a new one is opening up right here in Huntsville and it’s helping save lives.
Cattyshack is a non-profit cat lounge. The store had it's open house tonight at their location in Lowe Mill.
All the cats roaming around are up for adoption and in need of good homes.
The owner, Tina Cooley, says you can come in, relax and sit with one of their furry friends. If you buy something or donate, all the money will go to saving more cats.
She tells us there was a need and she just had to fill it. Cooley adds, “Between the public wanting one, and the need for one-- to continue to rescue more… I just feel like it just needed to eventually happen!”
Cattyshack is also looking for volunteers to help run the store.
