HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — In a few days - expect something in the mail about the 2020 census.
From March 12th - 20th, households will receive an invitation to complete the census.
You can respond online, by mail, or by phone.
Right now the state of Alabama is at risk of losing a congressional seat and federal funding.
Governor Kay Ivey says your participation is critical.

"Right now we're getting $13 billion dollars, and folks, we need everybody counted in the Census that's coming up, every child. No matter how old or how young that child is, every person needs to be counted," said Ivey.
The census will officially be observed April 1st.
