Circle K parent company buying 112 Mapco locations

The locations seeing a change will spread across Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky and Georgia.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Several gas stations are set to get a new look soon. Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc., a Circle K parent company has completed the transaction with Compañía de Petróleos de Chile S.A. (COPEC) for the acquisition of 112 company-operated fuel and convenience retail sites from MAPCO Express Inc. The locations seeing a change will spread across Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky and Georgia. Including some in Northern Alabama, with a MAPCO station on Memorial Parkway already undergoing the new change.  

Majors Management LLC and Alimentation Couche-Tard Inc. are splitting the portfolio in two separate transactions. The deal originally announced on April 27, 2023, also included surplus property and a logistics fleet.

Alimentation Couche-Tard operates in 24 countries and territories, with more than 14-thousand stores. It is one of the largest independent convenience store operators in the United States, Canada, Scandinavia, the Baltics and Ireland. Also a presence in Poland and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of People’s Republic of China, the company has approximately 122,000 people employed throughout its network.
