HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville's CNI Solutions, along with The Bridge SDA Church, hosted COVID-19 information and vaccination clinics on Sunday, September 26.
CNI Solutions Iris Frye said the goal of the event is to educate people.
"You can leave the event and don't get vaccinated but at least you'll have the knowledge for yourself," said Frye.
Walgreens Pharmacy was onsite to administer vaccines for those who wanted them
Alabama Representative Anthony Daniels attended the event to share his experience fighting the virus.
"I had COVID," said Daniels. "I had to get the monoclonal antibodies injection, so I was down and there were times where I didn't think I was going to make it, and my family didn't think I was going to make it because it hit me hard."
He says this virus doesn't discriminate.
"Someone that thought they were in shape, and was doing high-intensity workouts before catching COVID, that was Christmas Eve, and it wasn't until about four weeks ago that I was able to go back and do the high-intensity training at the level that I did before catching COVID," said Daniels.
Huntsville Hospital COO Tracy Doughty says events like these help get thousands of people vaccinated.
"We think the mass vaccine clinic days are over. Most people have got the vaccine that want it," said Doughty.
