MADISON, Ala. — A woman was hit by a car around 7:30 a.m. Friday morning near West Madison Pre-K on Wall Triana Highway in Madison.
According to Don Webster with HEMSI, the woman, who was serving as a crossing guard, was taken to the hospital and is currently in critical but stable condition.
Madison City Schools confirmed she was a crossing guard at West Madison Pre-K Center.
Authorities advise the public to avoid the area.
