DECATUR, Ala. — A metal strip of signage fell into morning rush hour traffic in Decatur on Thursday and struck a vehicle, dash cam video shows.
The incident happened along 6th Ave. SE near 8th Street SE as rain and gusty winds pressed through the Tennessee Valley -- the start of what is expected to be a multi-day stretch of unpleasant weather.
The piece of signage appeared to impact the front right side of an SUV as it swerved to try to avoid the falling debris.
The Alabama Department of Transportation told FOX54 they weren't aware of any injuries of damage and they anticipate repairs will be made in the next week or two.
