DECATUR, Ala. — You don't need an appointment anymore to conduct business at Decatur City Hall. As of Tuesday, May 26, all Decatur facilities are open to the public. Decatur Mayor Tab Bowling announced the decision in the wake of the Alabama Department of Health's Amended Safer at Home guidelines.
“After much preparation from our staff, City Hall will resume offering person-to-person services,' said Mayor Bowling. "We look forward to providing the same uninterrupted level of service our community is accustomed to receiving.
Social distancing measures will remain in place, and city officials recommend you keep communicating to municipal departments through phone calls, video conferences, and email, just to be safe.
And if you visit any City of Decatur facility, they strongly suggest you wear a face mask.
