DECATUR, Ala. — A 32-year-old man from Decatur has died after a motorcycle accident Monday morning around 7:50 a.m., according to Morgan County Coroner Jeff Chunn.
Decatur police have identified the driver of the motorcycle as Marcus Allen Hastings.
The crash happened on Highway 31 near Lenwood Road and involved a motorcycle and another vehicle.
Chunn confirmed the man was riding the motorcycle during the accident, while the driver of the car was not injured.
Decatur police reported that the southbound lanes on the highway were temporarily closed but reopened around 9:40 a.m.
