HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — UPDATE (7/31): Decatur Police found Corey Griffitt and took him into custody without incident. Griffitt was arrested for misdemeanor charges and has been taken to the Morgan County Jail.

(7/29) 12:44 PM: Decatur Police Department is urging the public to stay away from Douthit St. SW and Canterbury Ave. SW as officers search for 31-year-old Corey Griffitt.
According to Decatur Police, they responded to a domestic disturbance where Griffitt reportedly fled on foot. He is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing about 140 pounds, and was last seen wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans.
Authorities believe Griffitt may be armed and advise people not to approach him. Anyone with information is urged to contact 911 immediately.
