DECATUR, Ala. — UPDATE (11:15 a.m.): Decatur Utilities has fixed the issue with its phone system, and the main number is now working again.
Earlier (8:15 a.m.): Decatur Utilities is currently experiencing technical problems with its main phone number, 256-552-1400. The issues began around 8 a.m. on Wednesday.
To assist customers during this time, Decatur Utilities has issued a backup number, 256-306-6185, which allows customers to access various options, including paying their phone bills, accessing the employee directory, and reporting service interruptions.
Customers are advised to use the backup number until the main line is operational again.
